Unlike efficiency-focused hybrids (which are designed primarily to maximise fuel economy), Performance Hybrids are engineered to enhance certain performance characteristics (compared to an equivalent internal combustion-only model). These characteristics are geared towards adventure-focused driving, like acceleration feel, torque response, off-road capability and towing support.
